Dear Parents and Caregivers,

This afternoon, your child will bring home a Run-A-Thon sponsorship card and information letter. This is an annual fun activity that we do for the kids to make preparing for their Cross Country event fun!  We really appreciate your support in helping your child seek sponsorship from family and friends.

Every dollar raised goes straight back into the adventure playground project that benefits all our children at SMCS. Thank you in advance for supporting this fundraiser!

On a separate note, with our SMCS Cross Country coming up on Friday, 14 August, we'd also love to invite families to join the SMCS Running Club. A few parents have generously volunteered their time to help run these sessions, providing a fun and encouraging way for children to become familiar with the course and build their confidence before race day.

SMCS Running Club

• When: Friday, 31 July & Friday, 7 August (We may continue for a few additional weeks leading up to Zones if there is enough interest)
• Time:
  • 7:50 AM – Warm-up
  • 8:00 AM – Run starts
  • 8:30 AM (approx.) – Finish
• Who: Everyone is welcome! Parents are encouraged to join in. Please note: For safety reasons, children in Years 1–3 must be accompanied by an adult.
• Where: Top court, in front of the school office by the flagpole.

We hope to see lots of smiling faces on Friday mornings, whether your child is aiming for a personal best or simply wants to enjoy running with friends. You can use the Running Club distance to complete your kid's Run-A-Thon card!

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Marriage & Family Life warmly invites you to a special Grandparents Mass as we give thanks for the love, wisdom, and faith that grandparents and older people share with our families and communities.

We encourage grandchildren to bring their grandparents, and everyone is welcome to invite an elderly loved one they wish to honour.

• Where: St Patrick's Cathedral (43 Wyndham Street, Auckland)

• When: Sunday, 26 July at 4:30 pm

• Parking: Reduced parking fees apply.
