At St. Michael’s, we are blessed to be guided by the charism of Saint Mary MacKillop and the Josephite tradition. Inspired by her unwavering faith, deep compassion, and dedication to education, we strive to live by her motto: "Never see a need without doing something about it."
Our school embodies the Josephite values of hospitality, inclusion, simplicity, and a strong commitment to justice. We believe in providing a welcoming and holistic education where every student is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential—academically, spiritually, and personally.
Through a spirit of service and community, we nurture young minds and hearts to become people of courage, kindness, and integrity.

Event Details:
Date: Monday 23rd March 2026
Time: Doors open at 6:30 PM, Presentation starts at 7:00 PM
Venue: School Hall
About Dr Samantha Marsh:
Dr Marsh is a public health expert and senior research fellow at the University of Auckland. She undertakes research and advocates for the safe use of digital technology in young people, with a particular focus on child and youth mental health.
She frequently appears in the media as an expert on this topic, and alongside presenting the research, she offers parents practical tools to support their children in the digital age.
This is a FREE event, however hosting Dr Marsh is a valuable learning opportunity that Smartphone Free Childhood NZ (SFCNZ) have generously provided for our school community. We strongly encourage a representative for each child to be present where possible.
Please secure your spot by reserving a free ticket at, https://events.humanitix.com/reclaim-connection-smcs
We look forward to seeing you there!
